MIKE KAYLA // @lifewithmike1

Executive Director, Hip Hop

Founder and creator of O.N.E. Dance Centre (originally O.N.E. Hip Hop Studio before the expansion). Mike's dance education began at a late age with Western University dance teams such as WOOF, and Hip Hop Western. His upbringing and selfless core values inspire his desire to provide affordable and accessible dance education to the community of London, ON hence the creation of O.N.E. Dance Centre. Mike's involvement in London's dance community goes beyond his popular beginner adult program/classes and competitive post-secondary dance. He was an associate choreographer for Dynamic Dozen choreographing and teaching flash mob dances for senior homes, local school camps and multiple city events.

Guest Choreographer, Urban Movement, Contemporary

Some of Ken's professional dance credits include The Next Step Season 3.5 (Frank Van Keeken) choreographed by Amy Wright, The Magicians (Mike Cahill) choreographed by Paul Becker, Jazz Hands and Degrassi (TV Show). Received job offers from Creativiva, Jungle Book, Drake, Rihanna and worked with artists such as Vita Chambers, Jess NG. He’s performed for many productions including Royal Caribbean’s newest show, “StarWater”, and “Red Party” and was a part of the workshop team for “Dancer: The Musical in Ten Furlongs” (John Stefaniuk) choreographed by Stacy Tookey. Ken has danced for many corporations such as Mary Kay, MAC Cosmetics, TD Bank, Mary Kay, Loblaws, Nordstrom, and more. He is a young up-and-coming choreographer passionate in sharing and telling stories through his unique style and versatile craft.

Clara gutauskas //

Drop-in Instructor, Jazz Funk, Contemporary, Kids Hip Hop, Kids Contemporary____

Clara has trained at the competitive level in various dance styles (Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Tap, and Hip Hop) from a young age. She studied at York University, where she completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts with honours in Dance and a double major with her Bachelor of Education. Clara studied at the Pavlova International Ballet School in Bergamo Italy on scholarship for a summer and took classes in LA with choreographers such as Stacey Tookey. She has trained and completed examinations in both RAD and Cecchetti ballet syllabi.

Clara has many years of performance and choreography experience. She toured with ballet company, Ballet Jorgen Canada for three years, playing the lead role Klara in their version of the Nutcracker. Clara participated in dance competitions and showcases with her dance studio and high school dance program. She has both performed in, and choreographed various dance pieces throughout her studies at York University- primarily contemporary and modern. She has continued her training at ONE since 2017 and has enjoyed performing with the competitive team and teaching drop-in classes. 

Clara is very passionate about dance education in Ontario schools and co-created a school program providing dance workshops from kindergarten to grade 8 that support expectations and requirements of the Ontario dance curriculum. She is a committee member for the Pulse Ontario Dance Conference which is held bi-annually that aims to support dance education in Ontario schools.

Clara enjoys working as an elementary school teacher during the day and studio teacher in the evenings. Clara also enjoys teaching kids yoga as a certified Rainbow Kids Yoga teacher. Clara has experience teaching contemporary, modern, ballet, jazz technique, hip hop and choreography to various age groups for over 8 years. Clara is thrilled to be a part of the ONE faculty to share her love and passion for creative expression and movement.


CODIE PRIMEAU // @codieprimeau

Drop-in Instructor, Urban Movement, Jazz Funk, Contemporary

Codie grew up in Cornwall, Ontario and is currently a student at Western University in the combined Physical Therapy and PhD program. He began his dance training at O.N.E. (2014) in hip hop and has since been working to diversify his style by training in other dance genres such as contemporary, jazz funk, and urban movement. He has competed with the O.N.E Competitive Team at various competitions/showcases including the Culture Shock Ottawa’s International Showcase, Urban Rumble Dance Competition and Gadfly’s Cincotrybe Hip Hop Choreo Championship, and with Hip Hop Western's competitive team The IX at O.U.C.H. University Dance Competition. He has also been working on improving his craft through training intensives such as the Creative Rebels Collective (Ken Pham), dance conventions such as MONSTERS (Luther Brown, Luam Keflezgy, Rhapsody James & Ysabelle Capitulé), R2D Dance Camp (Reet Roy) and the Build-Up Program (Jerome Esplana), and workshops such as YGTG (Melanie Mah - SYTYCD: Canada). He has also performed in showcases such as Toronto’s Choreographer's Ball (Scott Fordham). He is also a co-director for the O.N.E. Contemporary Company which will be performing in the London Fringe Festival spring 2019, and is the Administrative Manager for the Creative Rebels Collective. Codie draws from his experiences as a student to challenge himself in creating pieces that incorporate movement from various dance genres. His goals are to provide a positive learning environment for dancers of all levels to self-express through movement and have fun.


CYNTHIA NAKEYAR // 

Drop-in Instructor, Jazz Funk, Contemporary, Urban Movement

Cynthia began her dance training at the age of 7. She has trained formally at a competitive level in styles such as Jazz, Ballet, Tap, Acro, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Contemporary and HipHop. She has also attended different workshops and training opportunities across Ontario through programs such as Be Discovered. Her training has led her to great opportunities as a choreographer for a variety of studios and shows, including the Mrs. Canada Pageant. Cynthia has her Bachelor of Education, is a qualified Dance Educator and Dance Education advocate. She has attended many Dance Education conferences such as CODE and Le Festival de Danse where she was able to work with directors of companies such as ODD. She is also the founder and director of the French dance competition Aimes-tu Danser?. Her passion for dance still continues to bloom today thanks to the wonderful dance community at O.N.E. She continues to train within O.N.E. and is part of the award winning contemporary company Breath in Movement. She is also co-creator of the O.N.E. Contemporary Company. She is so thankful for her O.N.E. family for creating a safe space for all and strives to always create this inclusive environment in each one of her classes.

DANA HAMBLY // @dana.hambly

Studio Manager / Drop-in Instructor, Contemporary, Urban Movement, Jazz Funk

Born and raised in London, ON, Dana started dancing at age 10 at a local studio. She originally trained in ballet, tap, jazz, pointe, contemporary and lyrical, until she moved away to pursue a Bachelor’s degree of Science at the University of Waterloo. During her first year at UW, she discovered hip hop through the UW Hip Hop Club. For the majority of her time at UW, she served UWHH as an exec, with roles including President and Performance Director. She has represented UW in several competitions, including The Academy (3rd place 2015) and BYOB Post-Secondary. She was also a part of UW's Origins training team. After graduating from UW and moving back to London in 2016, Dana found her way to O.N.E. where she has reconnected with her love for contemporary and other styles while continuing to train in hip hop. She is currently training under the Creative Rebels Collective intensive and is a co-director for the O.N.E. Contemporary Company.

HALEY PRESANT // @haleypresant

Drop-in Instructor, Kids Hip Hop, Contemporary

Haley Presant is from St. Thomas, Ontario and is a grade 12 student at Arthur Voaden Secondary School. Haley started dancing at the age of 3 at Expressions Dance Arts, training in various styles and she moved to Step Above Dance Studio when she was 11 years old. Since then, she has completed grades 2-8 through the RAD and has completed her Intermediate ballet exam successfully through the Royal Academy of Dance. Haley has training in styles such as tap, ballet, pointe, jazz, contemporary and hip hop. During the summer of 2016, she trained at Broadway Dance Center in NYC for 3 weeks as part of their junior training program where she took classes from choreographers such as Derek Mitchell, Sheila Barker and Tracie Stanfield. Through her years in competitive dance Haley has received many special awards and overalls and most notably when she was awarded the Top Overall Regional Improv Dance Winner in 2016 at a competition. Haley is very excited for her upcoming classes at O.N.E.

JASMINE PAUL // @jasvalerie

Drop-in Instructor, Hip Hop

Jasmine found her love for dance in 2012 after trying a drop-in Hip Hop class at O.N.E . Since then she has choreographed and performed in multiple showcases and competitions, trained in Creative Rebels and O.N.E training team, runs her own program As She Is, and teaches Hip Hop/Urban drop-in classes. Jasmine strongly believes it is never too late to learn and enjoy dance.

Jinny lee //

Drop-in Instructor, Hip Hop

Jinny started dancing at the age of seventeen at O.N.E dance centre (2014). She has been training with the team, exploring various styles of dance through drop-in dance classes, and different training programs at O.N.E including: Creative Rebels Collective, As She Is, and O.N.E Training Team. She also travelled to South Korea to train her dancing skills at 1Million Dance Studio, where she was able to have an opportunity to train and also showcase with some of the choreographers such as Sori Na, May J Lee, YooJung Lee, Koosung Jung, and Mina Myung. She was also a member of O.N.E’s competitive team, where she competed/performed at competitions and showcases such as Urban Rumble and Cincotrybe Hip Hop Choreo Championship. Jinny is currently a leader of Hip Hop Western’s advanced recreational team, has been a member of Western’s competitive hip-hop team (The IX) for 3 years, and is a director/choreographer for BYOB(Bring Your Own Beat) Hip Hop Dance Competition, and The Academy: Urban Dance Competition. Jinny’s passion for dance has led her to share her choreographies at O.N.E Dance Centre in hopes to bring laughter, challenge, and to bring the dance community in London closer.

KARISHMA HOSEIN // @karhosein

Drop-in Instructor, Contemporary

Karishma grew up in Mississauga, ON, and is currently pursing a PhD in Kinesiology at Western University. Karishma began her formal dance training at the age of three in ballet, jazz, and tap. Since then, she has completed training in Royal Academy of Dance ballet, Graham and Limón modern, jazz, tap, contemporary, and lyrical, and has performed for two seasons with The National Ballet of Canada in their production of The Nutcracker. She is also a canfitpro certified Fitness Instructor Specialist, with skills in resistance training and group fitness. Since joining O.N.E., Karishma has started training in hip hop and urban movement, as well as performing with the O.N.E. Training Team and participating in the Creative Rebels Collective training intensive. She is excited to share her passion for movement, and to inspire creativity, growth, and excitement for dance in her classes at O.N.E.

KATHERINE LOEW // @loewk

Drop-in Instructor, Contemporary, Lyrical

Katherine, originally from Windsor, began dancing at the age of 3 and hasn't stopped since. She has trained in multiple disciplines including tap, jazz, ballet, hip hop, lyrical, and pointe. She brings years of dance training and 7 years teaching experience (ages 2 through adult) to the floor. From dancing competitively, teaching, taking classes from talented choreographers throughout North America, donating time to perform in various charity events/fundraisers, and to performing at various local events, Katherine does not plan on stopping. She strives to create a positive environment for students to grow, learn technique, theory, teamwork, and respect. When she is not dancing, Katherine works as a Registered Occupational Therapist in the London region

NICOLA POPP // 

Drop-in Instructor, Jazz, Contemporary

Born and raised in Stuttgart, Germany, Nicola has been dancing off and on since she was 4 years old. She started out training primarily in jazz dance. Throughout her high school years, she was able to perform at showcases, company events and on TV. Since starting University she has been trying to keep dancing in every country she has lived in around the world. From the Netherlands, to the US and Canada, she has joined dance teams and studios, trying out new styles such as hip hop and contemporary. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Neuroscience at the University of Western Ontario. She is extremely grateful for the opportunity to dance at O.N.E and to share her love for dance with the London community. It is amazing to have the space and opportunity to keep growing and exploring as a dancer no matter how old you are.

PAIGE FRAPPIER //

Paige grew up in St Thomas, ON and began her training at the age of 6. Her training began at various studios such as Studio Dance PoInte, Step Above, and Dance Essence. Summer of 2016, Paige had attended Alvin Ailey Summer Scholarship program in New York City, training under Misty Copeland, Francesca Harper and appeared in Carlos dos Santos Summer Sizzler’s piece. Since then she has continued to grow herself through drop in classes at ONE, The underground Dance Centre and Millenium Dance Complex. Paige is grateful to have the opportunity to teach such open minded dancers and couldn’t feel more apart of such an uplifting environment.

ROB LOEBACH //

Rob's experience comes from competing, judging, performing and teaching for over 11 years. Some of his most exciting hires include Royal Bank of Canada, Banana Republic, Canada's Walk of Fame, Caesars Windsor, Scion And Nokia. Through performing and competitions, Rob discovered his true passion in teaching and working with youth. He is currently employed by The Montessori Academy of London. Rob is excited to share his passion of dance, his experiences and techniques with his summer camps this year as he will be the lead for all breaking camps!

SHARDAY POISSON // 

Drop-in Instructor, Contemporary, Jazz Funk

Originally from Windsor Ontario, Sharday has been dancing since the age of 3. She has trained and taught many styles of dance from ballet, tap, jazz and contemporary. She has trained and completed examinations in Cecchetti ballet syllabus and Al Gilbert tap/ jazz syllabus. 

After moving to London it was a priority for her to find a dance studio and ever since she found O.N.E she hasn’t stopped going. She continues to teach and challenge herself through exploring new styles of dance and hopes to one day train in ballroom. 


TAYLOR BRODBECK // @taylorrainbrodbeck, taylor@thetasteofink.ca

Drop-in Instructor, Hip Hop

Taylor began dancing at the age of seven, where she trained in various styles such as jazz, ballet, lyrical, and hip hop. She always had a special passion for hip hop, which she has carried with her to this day. She has taught hip hop for five years at various studios including O.N.E Dance Centre and Sound in Motion. She has competed in the Toronto World of Dance Competition, choreographed for the O.N.E Competitive Team which performed in Toronto's Urban Rumble Competition, and had community involvement in London's Dynamic Dozen Flash Mob Team. Taylor also works as a Tattoo Artist at The Taste of Ink in London, where she previously apprenticed under Aimee Allen. She believes dance, like tattooing, is more than just focusing on the physical movement or task, but is about building a safe, creative, loving space to share with all of her students, clients, and colleagues.
